NASA is selling off a couple of their retired space shuttles for a reasonable price of $42 million, including $6 million for shipping. However, NASA prefers that they end up at a museum or a school.

Marilyn Monroe Phot Sells for over $146,000

A picture of Marilyn Monroe sold at a Christies auction for almost $150,000, one of the last pictures taken of her before her death. An Andy Warhol portrait of Marilyn sold for $248,000 at that auction, and many other photos of her were also sold at fairly high prices.

Flying Car For Sale: $3.5 Million

A vintage flying car is for sale for only $3.5 million. The vehicle, known as the Aerocar, is only one of six ever made in 1956, and goes 60 mph on the highway and 110 mph in the air.

Corkscrew Rollercoaster Carriage Auction

The front carriage of Europe's first double-looped rollercoaster, the Corkscrew , will be put up for auction. The proceeds will go to charity.

James Bond's Lotus Sells for $165,000

The 1976 white Lotus Esprit sports car from the James Bond movie, "The Spy Who Loved Me", which was driven by Roger Moore, was sold at auction recently by Bonhams Auction House for $165,000.

$200,000 for a Truffle?

Yes, a two and a quarter pound fungi truffle (not to be confused with a chocolate truffle) sold at an international auction for $200,000 to Hong Kong casino tycoon Stanley Ho. The auction was held simultaneously in London, Abu Dhabi, Macau and Rome.
