Are You an Elvis Fan? Buy His House!!!

The Beverly Hills home that Elvis and Priscilla bought for $400,000 when they were first married in 1967 is for sale and featured this week at
The King will never die. Elvis Presley's music, films and the homes he has owned are legendary. He was the game changer in the music world with his own style blending rock and roll, ballads, blues and gospel, the best-selling solo artist in the history of recorded music with record sales over 600 million.
Obsessed fans knew his likes, dislikes, and what food he ate. They have ogled over his and Priscilla’s honeymoon vacation house in Palm Springs and Graceland, but it was his first home with Priscilla in Trousdale Estates overlooking Los Angeles where the fans have been coming for years to write messages to Elvis on the gate door set into the garden wall.
The days of Elvis slouched on a well-worn overstuffed sofa with a plate stacked high with peanut butter and banana sandwiches on his lap are long over for this…

Now You Can Buy Europe’s Most Expensive Home: Pierre Cardin’s Bubble Palace

Pierre Cardin’s Bubble Palace

Pierre Cardin’s Bubble Palace is Europe’s most expensive home and currently for sale at $456 million; featured this week at
Round houses were the architecture of choice for eons dating back before the Iron Age. They were built in Europe, Africa, Polynesia and almost anywhere humans congregated. In John Hawkesworth’s “The Flame Trees of Thika,” it was duly noted that Afrikaners believed evil spirits would collect and live in the corners of square homes and couldn’t understand the British penchant for residing in square buildings.
Mid-century architect Antti Lovag expressed similar feelings when he designed Le Palais Bulles - the Bubble Palace - in Cannes, France, which was built between 1975 and 1989. He concluded that “ . . human beings have confined themselves to cubes full of dead ends and angles that impede our movement and break our harmony.”
He went on to say that the straight line was “an aggression against nature.” Anoth…

Why Don't You Buy Cher's 1970's Beverly Hills Mansion?

During Cher's fifty years as the Goddess of Pop, there is precious little in the creative world she hasn't accomplished. Starting out her singing career so shy on stage that she had to talk Sonny Bono into standing with her so she could look at him instead of the audience, to branching out as a soloist in the mid 1960s and on to award-winning actress on film, stage and television,
Cher has successfully tested the water in multiple entertainment categories. Having hit their peak record sales in the early 1960s selling over 40 million records, their careers began to nose dive in the late '60s with the advent of hard rock and the surging drug culture. It wasn’t until the early '70s that they experienced a resurge in popularity with Cher's new exotic wardrobe, their hit television show, “The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour,” and simultaneously cutting four new albums. However, with their marriage failing, Sonny and Cher divorced in 1975.
As a young girl whose mother was o…

Buy Your Own Gated Rural Town for $1,000,000

It’s not the first time that an entire American town has gone on the auction block, but it might be the most unusual. Sugar Grove Station, West Virginia was originally a United States Navy military base to support part of the National Security Agency’s surveillance operation. Though the array of giant parabolic dishes that continue to track location and content of international telecommunications activity is still in operation and not part of the sale, they are completely obscured from view behind thick forest on their ridgetop one mile distant. When it became unnecessary to house related analytical staff at the base, it was retired in the fall of 2015 and put up for auction to the highest bidder over $1 million.
Built between 1960 and 2014, the fenced and gated rural town has private full-service utilities to support as many as 500 people on over 120 acres. Included are 80 homes on tree-lined residential streets in like-new condition, a swimming pool, bowling alley, youth daycare ce…

Cary Grant’s Palm Springs Movie Colony Home Is For Sale

Cary Grant’s longtime home in the Palm Springs Movie Colony is for sale and featured this week at

“Cary Grant’s Movie Colony Home”
A British subject by birth with the given name of Archibald Alexander Leach, Cary Grant had a miserable childhood. His father was an alcoholic who committed his mother to an institution for chronic depression, telling Grant she was dead. At that point, his father essentially gave him away to a Vaudeville theater troupe at the age of six, with whom he lived and spent many years traveling and performing. When the troupe performed in New York, he fell in love with the city and decided to stay. It was the beginning of a prolific stage career that led to a Hollywood screen test and memorable films including “Notorious,” “An Affair to Remember,” “North by Northwest” and “Charade.” Grant was nominated for two Oscars and five Golden Globe Awards but never won. In 1970, Frank Sinatra presented him with an honorary Oscar at the 42nd Academy …

Jennifer Lopez's Hidden Hills Mansion is Available

Fresh from the final airing of American Idol where she has been a fan-favorite judge for five years, Jennifer Lopez might be America’s favorite do-it-all singer, dancer and actress since Doris Day was a best-selling recording artist and the #1 box-office star in the 1950s and ‘60s. Just as inspired and full of energy as she was at 15 when, against her parents’ warnings, she decided she wanted to be a professional entertainer, Jennifer recently started her All I Have Las Vegas residency at the AXIS Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. And, after a hiatus of six years, she just re-signed with Epic Records for a multi-album deal. In the business world, Jennifer has her own production company, clothing line, cell phone company and a best-selling fragrance line.
While it might seem that Jennifer doesn’t have time to sleep, she and then-husband Marc Anthony bought a home with nine bedrooms in ritzy Hidden Hills, California in 2010. Divorced from Marc in 2014, Lopez listed the es…

You Can Buy the House of Jackie Gleason, Mike Tyson, Julia Roberts, Jackie Collins

“Jackie Gleason's Final Florida Home”
One of the most innovative and popular television entertainers of the 1950s and '60s,  Jackie Gleason, lovingly referred to as Mr. Saturday Night, was born 100 years ago in 1916. His final Florida home, almost unchanged since he died in 1987, is for sale.
“The Jackie Gleason Show,” with the second highest ratings in 1955, was dominated by Jackie who not only was a huge man but with an even larger and brash personality. He never rehearsed with the cast but adlibbed his way through the show making each performance a surprise to his director. His shows consisted of song, flashy dance numbers by The June Taylor Dancers, celebrity guests who enjoyed appearing in his comedy routines and his special characters such as Ralph Kramden in “The Honeymooners” skits. Until 1964, Gleason’s variety show was recorded with live audiences at Studio 50 in New York City. But then a friend told him he could play golf all year in Florida so Jackie loaded his cas…

Buy Your Own Baseball Field - Baseball Mansion Auction

Southern California Mansion with Pro Baseball Field Going to Auction

The Southern California mansion of sports agent Jonathan Weisz with pro-style baseball field and lighted batting cage is going to auction on February 23rd.

It's baseball spring training time in Florida and Arizona. The time of year when fans in the cold big league baseball towns such as Detroit, Toronto, Milwaukee and Boston realize that winter won't last much longer and hope that their favorite team has enough pitching to last into October and maybe the World Series. Always an optimistic time for fans, many baseball experts are even picking the Chicago Cubs to win it all this year for the first time since 1908.
Just in time for spring training, a Southern California mansion with a pro-style baseball field and lighted batting cage is going to auction on February 23rd.
Located about a half hour north of San Diego in a gated community called the Heritage in Poway, California, it’s baseball season all year with …
