The oldest pawnshop in France just auctioned off a pastel painting by French master Pierre-Auguste Renoir, for $300,000 . The painting "Young Girl Seated in a Garden," is from 1881.

$2 Million Lunch with Warren Buffett

At a charity eBay auction, a Chinese investor paid $2,110,100 for a lunch with the famous American investor, Warren Buffett . This was the most expensive charity item that eBay has ever sold.The proceeds support the Glide Foundation, a California based charity which provides services to the poor and homeless in San Francisco. The winning bidder was Zhao Danyang, head of the Hong Kong-based Pureheart China Growth Investment Fund. The winning bidder is entitled to himself and up to seven friends dining with Buffett at Smith & Wollensky steakhouse restaurant in New York City, New York.

If you think the $100 Million for Donald Trump's mansion is high, it doesn't come close to Mukesh Ambani's house which is costing $1 billion to build . The house will be 27 storeys high (the first six floors for just parking and the roof has a helipad). Ambani is the fifth richest man in the world.

Trump's House Sells for $100 Million

Donald Trump's 33,000 sq ft Palm Beach mansion just sold for $100 million (originally listed for $125 million) to Dmitry Rybolovlev, a 42-year-old billionaire who is the head of Uralkali, the Russian mining company. Trump had originally bought the house for $41.25m in a bankruptcy sale in 2004.

Titanic Life Jacket for Sale

Here's something to add to your wardrobe. A life-jacket from the infamous cruise ship, Titanic . This is only one of six known Titanic life vests known to exist and will be sold at auction at Christie's. Expected price will be $60,000 to $80,000.

$6,100 for a Watermelon

A rare black Japanese Densuke watermelon was auctioned off in Tokyo for $6,100, one of the highest prices ever paid for a watermelon. The watermelon weight 17 pounts. Last month, two cantaloupe melons sold for a record $23,500 in Japan.

Beluga caviar has increased in price by 60% to $860 for 50 grams , since Russia has banned it from export due to concern about wild sturgeon becoming extinct. Russia is going after illegal poachers to stop illegal trade.

US Auctioneer Sells $8.2 million of Wine in Hong Kong

Acker Merrall & Condit, a large American auction house, sold $8.2 million of wine in Hong Kong, with 92% of almost a thousand lots sold. One of the top sellers was a 12-bottle case of 1990 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti, which sold for $242,000.
