A 1918 stamp, known as the "Inverted Jenny," and originally issued for 24 cents, will be auctioned by Robert Siegel Auction Galleries in New York. The auctioneers anticipate that the stamp may sell for between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The stamp has a picture of an upside-down image of a Curtiss JN-4H biplane.

Bankrate.com came up with a list of the ten most expensive cars in the world. If you thought a Rolls-Royce would be in the top three, you would be wrong. Number one is the 1,001 horsepower Bugatti Veyron, which can reach 253 mph. The car can be had for a reasonable $1,500,000. In second place is the Pagani Zonda, which sells for $741,000. Third is the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren at $503,750.

At a charity eBay auction, a Chinese investor paid $2,110,100 for a lunch with the famous American investor, Warren Buffett. This was the most expensive charity item that eBay has ever sold.The proceeds support the Glide Foundation, a California based charity which provides services to the poor and homeless in San Francisco. The winning bidder was Zhao Danyang, head of the Hong Kong-based Pureheart China Growth Investment Fund. The winning bidder is entitled to himself and up to seven friends dining with Buffett at Smith & Wollensky steakhouse restaurant in New York City, New York.

Now I've seen everything. A toilet built for two, called a TwoDaLoo, is now on the market. This is supposed to be an environmentally conscious simultaneous-flush two-seater toilet, which can use a a single 2.6-gallon-saving flush for both. The highlight of a Singapore fashion show was the diamond studded thong (and the model who was wearing it), valued at $122,000 (the thong, not the model). There are 30 carats of 518 brilliant cut diamonds and 27 white gold tassels in The Triumph Luxurious Diamond Thong. The Romanian model that was showing it off at the show was wearing only this skimpy thong.

Ferrari Sells for $3.3 million at Auction

1959 Ferrari 250 GT long-wheelbase California Spider with a V-12 engine sold $3.3 million at a Gooding & Company auction in Arizona. Over 12 cars sold for more than a million dollars, including a 1932 Alfa Romeo, a 1932 Packard, and a 1936 Model J Duesenberg.

This was the auctioneer's first Arizona sale with 90% of the lots selling for more than estimates.

$70 million Home with a Bullet-Proof Front Door

An Israeli billionaire, Lev Leviev, in the diamond business just bought the most expensive new home in Great Britain for $70 million. The house has bullet proof door, and the cost of the door alone was $100,000.

Auction of Unavailable Wines

2008 Naples Winter Wine Festival, which would be held on Jan. 26, and will auction off wines that can't be found anywhere. Some of the wines include a case of 1985 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti La Tache in its original unopened wood box, a case of 1961 Chateau Haut-Brion, and a 15-bottle vertical of Harlan Estate wine from 1990 to 2004.

Commuter Aircraft for Sale on eBay

eBay is auctioning off the last Sky Commuter Prototype test craft, which is the only registered aircraft with the FAA as a VTOL. It was designed to both fly and drive on highways. At the time this was written, the current bid price was $55,600. Check out this sale, there are 24 pictures.
