507-carat Diamond Just Sold for $35.3 Million

A rough 507-carat diamond was sold by Petra Diamonds for $35.3 million, the highest price ever achieved by a diamond in the rough. It was bought by by Chow Tai Fook Jewelry Co Ltd in Hong Kong. Petra Diamonds is a publicly traded company that primarily trades in London but occasionally on the Pink Sheets in the United States under the symbol PDMDF.PK.
