The Robin Williams Collection to be Auctioned in October

Robin Williams Robin Williams, the famous comedian and actor who started his claim to fame playing an alien from outer space on the Mork & Mindy TV show (after an appearance on Happy Days), was a collector, with his wife,  of numerous types of memorabilia and collectibles. They had collected everything from watches to modern art to entertainment items to bicycles to sports memorabilia to autographs. This collection will now be sold through a Sotheby's auction on October 4, 2018 at 2 pm ET. The auction will be held in New York. with over 300 items being auctioned. One of the more interesting items include a cast bronze sculpture of a horse, Madronne (Cody) by Deborah Butterfield, with an estimate of $220,000 to $280,000. Use Your Bitcoin to Buy a $3 Million Mickey Mantle Baseball Card; Cash is OK Too

Maybe you have several millions of dollars saved in Bitcoin, and now you are looking for something to spend it on. Here is a perfect gift for yourself, a 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle rookie baseball card. This PSA Mint 9 card is being auctioned off by Heritage Auctions . It is estimated to be hammered at $3,500,000 (plus buyer's fee). If the card sells for this amount, it will exceed the previous record for a baseball card of $3.12 million. But what makes this interesting is that the consigner and Heritage are willing to accept Bitcoin (BTC)   or Ethereum (ETH) cryptocurrencies as payment for this rare sports collectible. Of course, other forms of payment are acceptable also. You can currently bid online with extended bidding ending April 19 and 20. The current bid is $1,850,000.

Baseball Card Sells for $92,000

The Saco River Auction Co., in Beddeford, Maine, recently sold an 1865 photograph of the Brooklyn Atlantics baseball team for $92,000. It's the only card of its type known to exist. It was purchased by a Massachusetts collector.
