$18,000 Flip-Flops

Just in time for the rest of the summer. Chipkos Footwear is selling flip-flops that have been handpainted in 18-karat gold by David Palmer, a Los Angeles based artist. The purchase of this footwear includes the protection of 100,000 square feet of Costa Rican rainforest, two nights at a green Beverly Hills hotel, and a meeting with the artist.

The flip-flops sell for $18,000.
