Apple 1 to be Auctioned at Christie's Next Week - $300,000 Starting Bid
Next week is your chance to buy a rare item. The auction house, Christie's, will be auctioning one of the first Apple computers ever made, usually referred to as the Apple 1.
The starting bid will be $300,000, and the selling price is expected to be in excess of half a million dollars. Only 200 of these were ever made and about only 40 probably exist.
The Apple 1 computer is consigned by a retired school psychologist. I guess he won't have to worry about his retirement finances.
