Magna Carta Hammered at $21.3 Million
Sotheby's auctioned off a 710-year-old copy of the Magna Carta on Tuesday, which went for $21.3 million. This rare document was sold by The Perot Foundation, created by billionaire Ross Perot and was purchased by David Rubenstein, founder of The Carlyle Group. It is considered to be one of the most important documents in the world.
